SUE HENKIN-HAAS
Sue has lived in the South Coast area for 42 years—16 years in La Honda and 26 years in San Gregorio. She is active in the local community – serving as a board member for the San Gregorio Environmental Research Center (SGERC), a co-chair of La Honda Indivisible and serves on Sheriff Corpus’ Coastside CARE committee. She is a writer, teacher and health educator and is looking forward to working with others to help create a thriving community-focused center.
KATE HAAS
Kate Haas has always enjoyed being involved in the South Coast community. She served as a member of the Pescadero Municipal Advisory Committee and on the board of Puente de la Costa Sur. In 2014, Kate and her husband, Jeff, purchased the historic Loma Mar Store and lovingly restored it, reopening in 2019 as the Loma Mar Store and Kitchen. They embraced the opportunity to run a quaint, local business that would enrich the South Coast. The creation of the Loma Mar Outpost feels like a natural next step, continuing their hope to provide a space that serves and supports the community.
