Folks who live in magical Loma Mar are known as “Loma Martians,” so we choose the antenna-bearing, highly sociable California Quail as our mascot — you may have noticed them on our signs and atop the tower in our logo.

Quails live in groups called “coveys” and often right at the edge of urban environments, just like us, over the hill from Silicon Valley. We serve coffee in our Loma Martian mugs as a sign of welcome and a way of inviting you to be part of our rural community.

When you see “Follow The Quail” signs, you’ll know you’re on the path to the Outpost!
