Whether your new year includes more time for wellness, more time pursuing a purpose, or more time having fun and enjoying life, the Outpost is here to help. Building on tried and true favorites, we’re developing fun new products, tasty menu items, and memorable experiences that help us all stay in touch with what’s important. We’re continuing to fine tune our Community Calendar, so you can get out and enjoy all that the SouthCoast has to offer, including music at the Outpost on Saturday evenings. Or if mornings are more your style, we’re continuing to offer weekend breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday and Sunday. Stop by and see what’s new!

to the Outpost, a community resource hub in the heart of the San Mateo County South Coast.

We’re here to serve —great food, good times, and the needs of our dynamic community.

Our home is the historic Loma Mar Store, where you’ll still find the friendly staff, memorable music and delicious food you’ve come to expect, but in the coming months, we’ll also be adding programs, projects and workshops to expand our outreach and better support those who live in and love our beautiful “gem in the redwoods” and the surrounding “slow coast.”

The Outpost aims to be a cornerstone for community empowerment, where everyone feels welcome and engaged in the collective effort to enhance the wellbeing of our rural region.

Community-driven and guided by a dedicated board and staff, the Outpost will be sustained by mission-supporting sales, grants, and donations. This will ensure that we continue to provide a welcoming gathering space for all while promoting emergency preparedness, enhancing educational and economic opportunities, and supporting community members, local organizations, and area parks.
