Welcome!

to the Loma Mar Outpost, a hub in the center of the San Mateo County South Coast.

We’re here to serve —great food, good times, and the needs of our dynamic community.

You’ll still find all the memorable music and dining experiences you’ve come to expect at the historic Loma Mar Store, but we’ll be adding programs, projects and workshops over the coming months to expand our outreach and better support those who live in and love our beautiful “gem in the redwoods” and the surrounding “slow coast.”

The Outpost aims to be a cornerstone for community empowerment, where everyone feels welcome and engaged in the collective effort to enhance the wellbeing of our rural region.

Community-driven and guided by a dedicated board and staff, the Outpost will be sustained by mission-supporting sales, grants, and donations. This will ensure that we continue to provide a welcoming gathering space for all while promoting emergency preparedness, enhancing educational and economic opportunities, and supporting community members, local organizations, and area parks.

The Story of the Loma Mar Store

The Loma Mar Store transformed from a lumber mill, to a Post Office, to the general store, kitchen and community gathering place you see today.
